How to use a menstrual pad

Step 1 – Remove wrapper: With clean hands, take the pad out. Save the wrapper for disposal.

Step 2 – Remove backing: Peel off the paper strip to expose the adhesive.

Step 3 – Place pad: Centre the sticky side in your underwear (the part between your legs). If it has wings, wrap them underneath.

Step 4 – Dispose: Roll up the used pad in the fresh wrapper and toss in the bin. Never flush.

Dillets pads offer up to 8 hours of protection. Change every 4–6 hours for freshness.

How to choose the right pad

60% of women wear the wrong size! The right fit depends on your flow and body shape. Dillets My Fit helps you select:

  • Flow: light, regular, heavy → longer pads for heavier flow.
  • Panty size: larger underwear may need wider wings.
  • Day/Night: night pads have extra length for rear coverage.

“The better it fits, the better it protects.” Check our sizing chart to match your panty size + flow.

Vaginal discharge: normal & healthy

Discharge is your body’s way of cleaning and moistening. It’s completely normal!

  • Normal: clear, creamy, slight sweet/soapy smell. May turn pale yellow/crusty on underwear.
  • Amount varies: increases mid‑cycle (ovulation).
  • When to see a doctor: if it becomes itchy, smelly, or discoloured (green/grey).

Use a panty liner to stay fresh on heavier days.

First period: 3 signs it’s coming

  1. Breast buds: period usually arrives ~2 years after breasts start developing.
  2. Pubic hair: appears 1–2 years before first period.
  3. Vaginal discharge: white/ yellowish fluid means your period may start in a few months.

Emergency kit: stash a pad, liner and clean undies in your bag. Ask mom, a friend or the school nurse – they’ve all been there.
